Calling all introverts! A departure from the traditional book club where folks read the same book and there’s mandatory discussion about it, Silent Book Club invites folks to bring and read whatever they want quietly and independently. We’ll read for 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of (optional!) social time. Join us for a relaxed and low-pressure way to socialize with fellow book lovers.

Relax and connect with other caregivers while your baby plays and explores in a calm, supportive setting. Talk with the Program Director of Good Beginnings about resources in Vermont for prenatal and postpartum families, learn about Good Beginnings’ offerings, schedule a babywearing consultation, request a Postpartum Angel, or learn about volunteering with us. Every year, many local families rely on the Randolph Area Food Shelf (RAFS) to provide a turkey for their Thanksgiving meal. RAFS recently lost the funding that made this possible, so we are stepping up to fill some of that gap. Bring your friends, neighbors, and family out for our Turkey Bingo Fundraiser! 

How will it work? Everyone pays $10 at the door, and all proceeds go to RAFS’ turkey fund. We ask that everyone bring some kind of food item for the prize table. Possibilities are endless: extra garden produce? baked goods? your favorite farmstand something or other? a bag of chips? venison? even a candybar from the gas station?! Join us for this all-ages super-fun night for a great cause! Gobble, gobble.

Margaret Osha will lead a workshop on making yogurt, yogurt cheese and lacto-fermented ketchup. This event will have a $10 fee and reservations are required as the event is limited to 15. Reservations can be made by emailing Clotilde Hryshko at clotildeh@gmail.com

Join us for a morning of hands-on fun with nature-based activities, arts & crafts, and sensory exploration. Story time with Brookfield librarian, Laura Rochat, starts at 11am! All ages are welcome and encouraged to join us. A snack will be provided.

Share your talent with a friendly audience and meet like-mindedindividuals in a supportive and creative environment. Whether you're a seasonedperformer or a first-timer, our stage is open to everyone. For thoseparticipating it is recommended that you arrive early for registration.Additionally, please note that a basic sound system will be available on-site.See you all there!

Pass along the clothes and costumes your family has outgrown, and refresh your closets with new-to-you finds! All contributions should be for fall/winter wear and in good condition (nothing torn, in need of repair, etc.). Clothing and Halloween costumes for all ages and shoes/boots are welcome! Collection bins will be on the porch at the Old Town Hall, at the Brookfield Elementary School, and the Kimball Library starting Saturday Sept 27th.

Sliding scale $1-$5 entry supports the Brookfield Community Partnership.

Put on your dancing shoes and join us at the Brookfield Old Town Hall for a fun-filled evening of music and our beckoning dance floor. Come ready to move, laugh, and create some memories! 

The event is free and open to the public. All children and teens must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Brookfield farmers, artisans, crafters, cooks and bakers will join together to present a unique day of shopping, eating, community and fun at the Brookfield Old Town Hall, 93 Stone Rd in Brookfield.  Farm items will include honey, maple syrup, cider, seasonal vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, fresh roasted coffee, chicken, beef and pork.  Craft items include organic dried flower arrangements, sketches and photography, hand knit accessories, handcrafted functional and decorative pottery including bowls, mugs, vases etc. There will be fiction by a local author. Lunch items will be available courtesy of the Brookfield Old Town Hall committee, and will feature a variety of hearty soups and bread.  The Hall is steps from the very picturesque Floating Bridge so make a day of it!
